Regiogroei

Intro
Regiogroei is the umbrella organization for regional public broadcasters in the Netherlands, providing a shared digital platform used across multiple regions. I worked on the redesign, restructuring the design system and defining product behavior across web and native apps. Over time, the platform had grown fragmented. Components were inconsistently implemented, interaction patterns were unclear, and there was no single source of truth for how features should behave across devices. This created friction between design and development, slowed down delivery, and led to inconsistent user experiences across regions. Rather than focusing only on visual consistency, I approached this as a behavioral and system-level problem. I mapped how components behaved across breakpoints, platforms, and contexts, identifying gaps in logic, interaction patterns, and documentation. From this, I introduced a centralized blueprint that defined not just components, but how they behave, covering responsive behavior, platform differences between web and native, and interaction states. This created a shared language between design and engineering and made decision-making more explicit. The result was a more scalable and consistent foundation, reducing ambiguity in implementation and enabling teams to build faster with greater confidence across all regional platforms.
